Child killed in Kurigram road accident

A seven-year-old girl was killed after she fell onto the road from an auto-rickshaw at Phulbari upaizila in Kurigram district on Sunday evening. 

The deceased was identified as Asia Khatun, daughter of Amrul Hossain, a resident of Khochabari village under Bhangamor union in the upazila.

It was learnt that the child fell from the auto-rickshaw in Titikir Bazar area on the Phulbari-Borobari road while she, along with her mother, was returning home from the Borobari area on an auto-rickshaw, leaving her critically injured. 

She was rescued and taken to Phulbari Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared her dead. 

Abdul Malek Sardar, local UP member, confirmed the incident.
