2.125kg Crystal Meth recovered in Cox's Bazar

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 2.125 kilograms of crystal meth at Teknaf upazila in Cox's Bazar district early Monday. 

A team of BGB-2 recovered the drug from Chowdhury Para Switch gate area in the upazila.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of BGB conducted a raid in the area at around 4:25am. The law enforcement members saw a man carrying a bag, coming to the Chowdhury Para Switch gate from the Naf river. At that time, the patrol team challenged the man, as he appeared suspicious. Sensing the presence of law enforcement memebrs, the man left the bag and swam across the river before entering Myanmar.

Lieutenant Colonel Mohiuddin Ahmed, captain of the Teknaf-2 battalion of BGB, confirmed the matter.
