Newly-inducted Advisers get portfolios 

Advisory Council reshuffled

After appointing three new advisers and two special assistants, Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus on Sunday reshuffled the portfolios of the advisory council members.
After the reshuffle, the Chief Adviser kept only four ministries and divisions in his hands. Those are Cabinet Division, Defence Ministry, Armed Forces Division and Public Administration Ministry.

Among the three new advisers, Shaikh Bashiruddin has been given Commerce Ministry, Textile and Jute Ministry while Mostafa Sarwar Faruqui got the Cultural Affairs Ministry.
New adviser Mahfuj Alam has not been given any portfolio while Adviser without portfolio Ali Imam Majumder has been given the charge of Food Ministry.

Finance and Commerce Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed lost the Commerce Ministry and Law Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul lost the Cultural Affairs Ministry. Now, Salehuddin will look after the Finance Ministry while Asif Nazrul will look after the Law and Expatriate Welfare Ministry.

Adviser Hasan Ariff lost his Local Government and Rural Development Ministry while he has been given Civil Aviation and Tourism Ministry newly along with his Land Ministry.

The Labour and Employment Ministry has been given to Dr M Sakhawat Hossain while Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan has been given Local Government and Rural Development Ministry instead of Labour and Employment Ministry.

Earlier on Sunday, three new advisers have taken oath in the Interim Government's Advisory Council.
