A reelection will be held for an executive committee member post of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will be held on 30 November after two member candidates, Ekhlas Uddin and Saifur Rahman Moni, received 61 votes each, in the BFF election earlier held on 26 October.
It was already known that there would be a re-election between the two to break the tie and get a winner. The date of the vote was fixed at the first meeting of the new BFF committee recently.
This time the voting will be held at the BFF House in Motijheel, not in a five-star hotel. Voting is scheduled for 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The previous vote casting that had taken place on 26 October needed four hours to complete the casting process.
Ekhlas Uddin is the president of Chuadanga District Football Association. Although he was not in limelight in the first place, he managed to make spot in the top 16 leaving behind many familiar faces in the election. While he is hopeful of a winning the re-election, former footballer Saifur Rahman Moni, his competitor had prior experience of contesting for member post of BFF.
In the previously held election, on 26 October, a total of 128 out of 133 councillors exercised their votes.
It remains to be seen how many people come to vote for a membership election tjis time. The amount of councillor attendance will depend on the communication of the two candidates.
