The third and final ODI of the three-match series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan, also the series decider, will take place today at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium in the UAE. With the series level at 1-1, both teams are eager to clinch the title winning today.

The match will start at 4:00 PM (BST).

After a 92-run loss in the opening game, Bangladesh bounced back in the second match with a 62-run victory. However, batting remains a concern for them as Tanzid Tamim, Mahmudullah and Tawhid Hridoy continue to struggle with form. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto scored 76-run match winning knock in the second game but took 119 balls with a strike rate of 64. Soumya Sarkar and Mehidy Hasan Miraz also failed to capitalize on their starts. Wicketkeeper Jaker Ali, who debuted in the previous match due to Mushfiqur Rahim's injury, provided a solid finish with an unbeaten 37 off 27 balls and build a valuable 46-run partnership with Nasum Ahmed (25) to help Bangladesh post a total of 252 for seven.

Bangladesh are likely to stick with the same lineup as all their bowlers contributed in dismissing Afghanistan for 184 in the last game. Nasum, who returned to the team after a year, took three wickets, while Miraz and Mustafizur Rahman picked up two each. Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam claimed one wicket apiece.

Afghanistan are also expected to field an unchanged squad, though Rahmanullah Gurbaz has yet to make a significant impact in this series. Newcomers Sediqullah Atal with the bat and Mohammad Ghazanfar with the ball have been impressive so far.
Alongside them, captain Hashmatullah Shahidi, Mohammad Nabi, Rahmat Shah, Rashid Khan, Azmatullah Omarzai and Fazalhaq Farooqi have all been reliable performers.

The Sharjah Cricket Stadium is known for its short boundaries and a slow, spin-friendly pitch. While the wicket tends to favor batters early on, it can become tricky later and make high scores achievable but challenging. In the previous two games, the team batting first won. So, the toss-winning side will likely choose to bat first.
