Two more youths have been beaten by students and people on suspicion of Chhatra League activists at Baitul Mukarram and Zero Point in the capital.

One of them was Rabbi, while the other was Afzal. They were handed over to police.

Students assaulted and brought a youth at Zero Point from south gate of Baitul Mukarram Mosque at about 4:00pm on Sunday. His name was known Rabbi. Though a student tried to save Rabbi, he subsequently could not save him. Then they took Rabbi to policemen at the east corner of the Bangladesh Secretariat and handed him over them. At that time, students were holding sticks.

Besides, students assaulted and brought another youth from Zero Point of Gulistan. He was identified as Afzal.

Afzal said, "I don't know anything else. A big brother offered me flower bouquets and asked me if I intended to take photographs. I was taking photographs there. Suddenly, several students went there and started beating me. I don't do any party politics. I came here just to see."

Then Afzal was also handed over to police.
