Five more dengue patients died and 1,337 more people admitted to the hospitals across the country with the viral disease during the last 24 hours till Sunday morning.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the latest casualties, the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease reached to 355 this year.
Of them, two died in Dhaka South City Corporation, two in Dhaka North City Corporation and one in Dhaka division (Excluding city corporation).
The DGHS data said on the infected people, 351were admitted to the hospitals in Dhaka division (Excluding city corporation), 257 in DNCC, 172 in DSCC, 162 in Chattogram division( Excluding city corporation), 139 in Khulna division.
A total of 72,393 people have been infected with the viral disease from January 1 to till November 8.
Among them 1,369 were released from hospital during the 24 hours period and 67, 642 till November 8.
It may be mentioned that 1,705 people died from dengue in the country last year, while 3,21,179 people were infected by the mosquito-borne disease.
