Van driver killed in Madaripur road accident

A van driver was killed after his van fell into a roadside pond at Dasar upazila in Madaripur district on Sunday. 

The deceased was identified as Shawkat Ali Gharami, 33, son of Akbar Ali, hailed from Barisal 
Police and eyewitnesses said that the accident took place at around 12 noon when the driver lost control over the vehicle and the van plunged into a pond on the roadside in North Khilgram, on the Bhurghata-Sasikar road in the upazila.

Mahmud Hasan, a police official from Dasar Police Station, said the body was recovered and handed over to the deceased's relatives without an autopsy.
