Interim govt to go after fair election: Adviser Khalid

KHULNA, Nov 10: Adviser to the Ministry of Religious Affairs Dr A F M Khalid Hossain said, the interim government will take leave through a fair and acceptable election after ensuring normal situation of law and order in the country.

"The task of this government is to leave the responsibility to hands of those who will win the election," he made the remark on Saturday night while speaking as the chief guest at the 65th 'Waaz Mahfil and Destarband' ceremony of Shiromony Hafizia Madrasa on the premises of Shiromony Secondary School in the Khulna city.

Referring to the Hajj, the advisor said, the interim government has reduced the cost by more than Tk 1 lakh this time; besides, efforts are being made to provide various facilities to pilgrims including direct flights. 

The present government is also trying to create an opportunity to go to Hajj by ship, he added.

The religious advisor also said, a Muslim should understand the meaning and use its education in daily life after reading the Holy Quran.

The social system of the country will change if the instructions given by the Almighty Allah are followed properly, he added. 
He further said, although it is not the mother tongue, the achievement of Bangladeshi children in the Arabic competition in the world is very glorious.

He also emphasized the proper education system for children so that they can contribute to the propagation of religion. The Holy Quran should be read with understanding, and then only its virtues will be known, What Allah wants to tell us in each Surah and verse (Ayaat) will be understood.

The adviser also gave assurance of cooperation in the development of Shiromony Hafezia Madrasa.

Former MP Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Professor Mia Golam Parwar presided over the mahfil while Maulana Qari Abdul Haque, President of Huffazul Quran Foundation and Maulana Moniruzzaman, and Assistant Professor of Khulna Darul Quran Siddiquia Madrasa spoke as special guests.
