Three found dead in M’bazar, Naogaon, Sherpur

A woman and two men were found dead in separate incidents in three districts - Moulvibazar, Naogaon and Sherpur, in four days.
KAMALGANJ, MOULVIBAZAR: Police recovered the body of a young housewife from her in-laws' house in Kamalganj Upazila of the district on Saturday noon. 

The deceased was identified as Shahina Akhter, 22, wife of Md Sajim Mia, a resident of Bikramkalash Village under Munshibazar Union in the upazila. She was the daughter of Ibrahim Mia of Chaitanyaganj Village under Kamalganj Sadar Union. 
It was known that the body of Shahina Akhter was found at her room in the house in the morning. 

Being informed, police recovered the body from the scene at noon and sent it to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy. 

The deceased's father Ibrahim Mia alleged that Shahina's husband along with his family members killed her and covered up the incident as suicide. He demanded justice over the killing of his daughter.

Meanwhile, the deceased's husband Sajim Mia claimed that she had an altercation with him on Friday night. Following this, Shahina committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling of the room. 

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kamalganj Police Station (PS) Syed Iftekhar Hossain confirmed the incident, adding that the actual reason would be known after getting the autopsy report.

DHAMOIRHAT, NAOGAON: Police recovered the floating body of a man from the Atrai River in Dhamoirhat Upazila of the district on Wednesday. 

The identity of the deceased, aged about 40, could not be known immediately.

Police sources said that members of Border Guard Bangladesh from Bostabar BOP spotted the body of the man floating in the river in Chowghat area under Alampur Union of the upazila at around 11:30 am and informed the matter to police.

Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Dhamoirhat PS OC Md Raisul Islam confirmed the incident, adding that the law enforcers are investigating the matter and trying to identify the deceased.

NALITABARI, SHERPUR: Police recovered the body of a bird hunter from an Aman paddy field in Nalitabari Upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Amir Uddin, 35, son of Barkat Ali, a resident of Kharjan area under Gonopaddi Union in Nokla Upazila of the district. 

It was known that locals spotted his body in an Aman paddy field owned by one Alhaj Farhad Ali in Dakshin Konnagar area under Morichpuran Union of Nalitabari Upazila and informed police.

Being informed, police have recovered the body and sent it to Sherpur Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

It was assumed that Amir Uddin came in contact with live electricity from an electric trap set up in a paddy field owned by one Alhaj Farhad Ali in Dakshin Konnagar area on Tuesday afternoon when he was trying to hunt birds, which left him dead on the spot.  

Nalitabari PS OC Sanwar Hossain confirmed the incident, adding that an unnatural death case was filed with the PS in this connection.
