Seven people were injured in a clash between the supporters of two brothers over land dispute at Bauful upazila in Pauakhali district on Saturday morning.
The incident happened at around 8:30am in Tempu Stand area under Kalaya Bandar in the upazila.
The injured are Ranjit Das, 60; Radha Rani, 40; Rajib Das, 26; Sajib Das, 20; Modhu Member, 65; Asis, 30; and Ashiq, 28.
Locals said that there had been a long standing dispute between two brothers, Ranjit Das and Modhu Member. On Saturday morning, the two family members got into an altercation over the matter. At one time, they clashed and attacked each other by locally made weapons, resulting several injured. After getting information, police arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control.
Md Kamal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Baufol Police Station, confirmed that police were sent to the spot and the situation was brought under control.
No written complaint has been filed regarding the incident, he added.
