Inu, Menon, Palak sent to jail after remand

A Dhaka court has sent former ministers Rashed Khan Menon and Hasanul Haq Inu, and  fromer state minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak to jail on completion of their remand in a Emon Hossain Gazi murder case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Awlad Hossain Muhammad Zunaid passed the order as the accused were produced before the court on completion of their remand on Saturday (November 9).
Earlier on October 8 last, the trio was placed on a seven-day police remand.
 
According to the case details, Emon Gazi sustained critical bullet wounds during the anti-quota movement at Chittagong Road under Jatrabari Police Station on August 5 and died on the spot.
 
Later, Emon's brother Anwar Hossain filed a case with Jatrabari Police Station on August 28 mentioning the names of 85 people.
