The newly elected executive committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has announced a reward of Tk1.5 crore for the SAFF champions Bangladesh national women’s football team.
Amirul Islam Babu, a spokesman of the BFF, announced the decision of the federation at a press conference held on the BFF premises .
He said that the decision was taken on Saturday following the first meeting of the newly elected 20-member executive committee, chaired by Tabith Awal.
He said the national women’s team emerged champions in the women’s SAFF two times, so the new committee has decided to give them a reward of Tk1.5 crore and the prize money will be provided from the BFF fund.
It will be distributed to the entire team, including the coaching staff, as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, this reward is in addition to the previously announced Tk 1 crore incentive from the Ministry of Sports.
