Teenager killed in Lakshmipur road accident

A teenage motorcyclist was killed as his motorbike collided head-on with a passenger bus in front of Palli Bidyut office on the Ramganj-Hajiganj road in Lakshmipur district on Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Shakib Hossain, 16, son of Md Abul Kashem, a resident of Kalchama area under Ramganj upazila in the district.

Eyewitnesses said the accident occurred when a passenger bus collided head-on with the motorcycle in the aforesaid area, leaving Shakib critically injured.

He was rushed to Ramganj Upazila Health Complex. As his condition deteriorated, he was shifted to Dhaka. But he succumbed to his injures on the way to Dhaka.

Local police confirmed the incident.
