Woman ‘gang-raped’ at MahamayaLake in Ctg 

CHATTOGRAM, Nov 8:  A woman has been 'gang-raped' while visiting Mahamaya Lake in Chattogram's Mirsarai.

Police have arrested one person over the incident on Thursday. The arrestee was identified as Md Riaz, 25.

The woman from Feni was visiting Mahamaya Lake with her friend on Thursday, said Inspector Diptesh Roy of Mirsarai Police Station. 
The two of them then went to sit at an elevated spot in the park beside the lake. "Three men who were in the lake area assaulted the woman and her friend and, at one point, tied up her friend and raped her."

"The woman and her friend reported the incident at the ticket counter and they informed us. We went and rescued them and seized a motorcycle belonging to the three suspects," the police inspector said.    —bdnews24.com
