Three people, including the upazila president of the banned organization Bangladesh Chattra League, were arrested in connection with a case filed over sabotage at Durgapur upazila in Rajshahi district on Thursday night.
The arrested individuals are Shakil Khan, 30, president of the Durgapur Upazila BCL unit; Moazzam, 40, a resident of Polashbari village in the upazila; and Jomshed Ali, 38, a resident of the Palibazar area in the upazila.
They were arrested at various locations within the upazila, said Nurul Huda, officer-in-charge of Durgapur Police Station.
The men have been sent to jail through the court, the police official added.
