Two brothers drown at Bauphal

BAUPHAL, PATUAKHALI, Nov 8: Two brothers drowned in a pond in Bauphal Upazila of the district on Thursday noon.
 
The incident took place in Taterkathi Village under Nazirpur Union of the upazila at around 2 pm. 

The deceased were identified as Imam Hossain, 6, and Abu Bakar, 4, sons of Kabir Hossain Sikdar, residents of the area.

It was known that Kabir Hossain Sikdar had taken his two sons to the pond for bathing at noon. 

He, then, went to his house with a water laden pitcher. 

When he returned to the pond, he found his two sons were missing. Later on, the bodies of the two minors were recovered from the pond.

Officer-in-Charge of Bauphal Police Station Arefin Shahed confirmed the incident.
