Bangladesh books big win over Afghanistan

Bangladesh national Baseball team celebrated a 12-0 big win against the Afghanistan team on Friday in the Arab Baseball Clasico held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was a good return for the boys in red and greens who had a devastating defeat to Pakistan 0-10 in the first match. 

Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, United Arab Emirates, and Afghanistan are in the same Group-A. At this moment, Pakistan is leading the point table with one point while India and Bangladesh are in the second and third places with .50 points. 

The Bangladesh boys will play two more matches today (Saturday). The first one against the UAE team and the second against India. 

The Baseball United Arab Classic is an international invitational baseball tournament and is organised by Baseball United. The international invitational tournament is being played at the Baseball United Ballpark at the Sevens sports complex. The Sevens is a purpose-built rugby sevens stadium in Ud al-Bayda in Dubai city. 

The nine participants of the tournament were Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. 

As per the official description, the tournament operates under World Baseball Classic rules. The tournament has observed the international debut of the United Arab Emirates national baseball team.
