Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a man from Geneva Camp in Mohammadpur area of the capital on Thursday evening in connection with a case filed over the death of a man named Raj in a bomb explosion on November 1.
The arrestee was Md Arman, alias Boma Arman.
Shihab Karim, senior assistant superintendent of police (media) of RAB-2, on Friday said the arrestee was handed over to Mohammadpur Police Station for further legal proceedings.
Earlier, on November 1, two groups, who are active at Geneva Camp for establishing control over drug peddling, engaged in chase and counter-chase. During the incident, Boma Arman reportedly threw a crude bomb at his rivals, injuring Raj and 10 to 12 others.
Raj was taken to Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Following the death, victim’s cousin filed a murder case with Mohammadpur Police Station on November 6, against several named individuals, including Arman.
