A woman was gang-raped while visiting Mahamaya Lake in Mirsarai of Chattogram on Thursday.
Police have already arrested a person identified as Md Riaz, 25, in connection with the incident.
Inspector Diptesh Roy of Mirsarai Police Station said that the victim woman from Feni and her friend were visiting Mahamaya Lake on Thursday.
Three men, who were in the lake area, assaulted the two when they went to sit at an elevated spot in the park beside the lake.
At one point, the suspects raped the woman tying her friend up.
The official said the woman and her friend reported the incident at the ticket counter and they informed the police. Police reached the spot and rescued them.
Police also seized a motorcycle belonging to the three suspects and arrested Riaz following a raid, he said.
