Seven more dengue patients died while 1,306 people admitted to the hospitals with viral fever across the country in the last 24 hours till Thursday morning.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the new casualties the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 337 this year.
Of the latest fatalities, four were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), two were in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and one in Khulna (outside of the city corporations).
Among the new patients, 251 were admitted to the hospitals in DNCC, while 227 in Dhaka division (excluding CC), 155 in DSCC, 160 in Chattogram division.
Meanwhile, 1,108 people were released from hospitals during the 24 hours and 64,793 till November 7.
A total of 69,456 dengue cases have been reported Since January 1, 2024.
Last year was particularly severe, with 1,705 deaths recorded, making it the deadliest year on record.
