4 new PSC members sworn in

Newly appointed Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) members Md Zahirul Islam Bhuiyan, ASM Golam Hafiz, Dr M Sohel Rahman and Dr Chowdhury Saima Ferdous took oath on Wednesday.

Chief Justice Dr Syed Refaat Ahmed administered the oath to the PSC members at the Supreme Court (SC) Judges' Lounge with SC Registrar Gen Aziz Ahmed Bhuiyan moderating the ceremony.

Following resignation of former PSC Chairman Md Sohrab Hossain and 11 members on October 8, the interim government appointed Prof Dr Mobasser Momen of Dhaka University's Public Administration Department as the new PSC Chairman October 9.

On October 15, Prof Mobasser and PSC members Dr Nurul Kadir, Dr Mohammad Aminul Islam, Dr Mohammad Nazmul Amin and Md Sujayet Ullah took oath.
