Tarique Rahman stands by families of martyrs, injured of mass uprising

A delegation of Amra BNP Paribar on Wednesday met relatives of those killed and injured in Bogura district during the July-August mass uprising and the previous mass movements.

On behalf of Tarique Rahman, Acting Chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Chief Patron of 'Amra BNP Paribar', the delegation interacted with the family members and enquired about their overall condition and expressed their empathy to them, said a press release.

Financial assistance was provided to the family members of the martyrs and injured.

Leader of the delegation, convener of 'Amra BNP Paribar' and member of BNP Media Cell, Atiqur Rahman Rumon told the victim families that BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman always stays by their side and will do so the future too.

The meeting with the family members of the martyrs and the injured was held in an informal ceremony at Akashtara area under Sabgram union in Bogura district in the afternoon.

On behalf of Tarique Rahman, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, convener of 'Amra BNP Paribar' and member of BNP Media Cell conveyed a message of empathy to the close relatives of the martyrs and injured.

Bogura District BNP President Md. Rezaul Karim Badsha, General Secretary Ali Azgar Talukdar Hena, Organizing Secretary Mohammad Shahid Un Nabi Salam, local BNP leader K. M. Khairul Bashar, 'Amra BNP Paribar' member Mustakim Billah and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal's Private University Unit joint general secretary Mashiur Rahman Mohan were present.

The press release said Moniruzzaman of Sariakandi is among those who embraced martyrdom in the July movement in Bogura district. He embraced martyred on August 5 last. 

Among the injured are Abdul Majeed, Abdul Alim, Noor Mohammad, Mehedi Hasan, Rajghosh Ratul, Adib Hasan, Nayan Ghosh and Swapan.    —BSS
