Petrobangla signs MoU with JU, SUST for research work

Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla) signed two separate memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Geology Department of Jahangirnagar University (JU) and Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) for research work through sharing information.

Secretary of Petrobangla Begum Ruchira Islam signed the MoUs while treasurer of JU Professor Dr Md Abdur Rob and treasurer of SUST Professor Dr Md Ismail Hossain signed the two MoUs on behalf of their respective institutes at a ceremony held at the Board Room of Petrobangla on Tuesday, says a press release.
 
Chairman of Petrobangla Zanendra Nath Sarkar witnessed the MoU signing ceremony, which was chaired by Petrobangla director Altaf Hossain.

The MoUs will expedite research works by sharing information among the universities, which will help the industry to flourish in future.

The MoUs will help officials of Petrobangla, JU and SUST to gain knowledge through sharing experiences and technological support. 

Besides, professional skills of officials and employees would be developed through taking joint research works and organizing seminars and workshops.

In addition, the two universities will be able to use information of Petrobangla for research work.

The MoUs will be valid for five years from the date of signing. As per the terms and conditions of the MoU, it will also renew automatically for the next five-year term.
