Four more patients died of dengue while 1,109 more people were hospitalized with viral fever across the country in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the new casualties the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease rose to 330 this year.
In the latest fatalities, two were reported in the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and one each in Chattogram division (outside of the city corporations) and Khulna division.
Among the new patients, 292 were admitted to the hospitals in DNCC, while 188 in Dhaka division (excluding CC), 95 in DSCC, 166 in Chattogram division.
Meanwhile, 1,075 people were released from hospitals during the 24 hours and 63,685 till November 4.
A total of 68,247 dengue cases have been reported Since January 1, 2024.
Last year was particularly severe, with 1,705 deaths recorded, making it the deadliest year on record.
