Four people found dead in three districts

Four people including a young housewife have been found dead in separate incidents in three districts - Gazipur, Mymensingh and Dhaka, in three days. 

GAZIPUR: Police recovered the throat-slit bodies of two young men from a four-storey building in the city early Wednesday.

The bodies were recovered at around 2 am in Madhabpur area under the metropolis.

The deceased were identified as Rasel Hossain, 23, hailed from Debhata Upazila in Satkhira, and Sufian, 24, from Sadar Upazila in Bhola District. They used to work as packaging workers in a factory, and lived in a rented house owned by one Rezaul Karim in Uttarpara area of Madhabpur.

According to police and locals, Rasel and Sufian had been living in a flat on the fourth floor of the building for a long time. 

The owner of the factory called Bakul, caretaker of the building, at night and said that Rasel and Sufian did not come to the factory on Tuesday.

Later on, the caretaker went up to the fourth floor at around 11 pm on Tuesday and found the bodies of the two lying in a room. 

On information, police recovered the bodies from the scene at around 2 am and sent it to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsies.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kashimpur Police Station (PS) Saiful Islam confirmed the incident, adding that the law enforcers are investigating the matter and the actual reason behind the deaths would be known after getting autopsy reports.

MYMENSINGH: Police recovered the body of a young housewife from her in-laws' house in Gouripur Upazila of the district on Tuesday. 

The deceased was identified as Jannatul Ferdous, 19, wife of Md Bipul Mia, a resident of Koltapara Borobari Village under Douhakhola Union in the upazila. She was the daughter of Md Abdul Latif of Mohjampur Village under Sadar Upazila in the district.

It was known that Jannatul got married with Bipul Mia about two and a half months back. 

However, she was found hanging with a scarf from the ceiling fan of her room in the in-laws' house on Tuesday. 

Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Members of Jannatul's in-laws' house claimed that she committed suicide by hanging herself. 

Meanwhile, the deceased's father Abdul Latif claimed that Bipul Mia along with his family members killed Jannatul and covered up the incident as suicide. He demanded justice over the killing of his daughter. 

Gouripur PS OC Mirza Mazharul Anwar confirmed the incident, adding that the law enforcers are investigating the matter and legal action would be taken after getting the autopsy report.

SAVAR, DHAKA: Police recovered the half-decomposed body of an auto-van driver, who had been missing since October 31, from an abandoned house in Savar Upazila of the district on Monday night.

The body recovered from North Metka area under Tetuljhora Union in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Delwer, 31, son of Nur Nabi, hailed from Noakhali District. He had been living in a rented house in Savar area.  

Two friends of the deceased have been arrested in connection with the incident.
 
Family members of the deceased claimed that a group of miscreants had hacked Delwer to death and left his body beside in a brick kiln in the area. Later on, locals spotted the body and informed the police on Monday night.

On information, police recovered the body from the scene and sent it to a hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Sub-Inspector of of Savar Model PS Amir Hossain confirmed the incident, adding that a murder case was filed with the PS and two friends of the deceased were arrested for questioning.
