Manikganj BCL leader held in Sabotage case

Police have arrested a local Bangladesh Chhatra League leader in Manikganj in a case field over setting fire on BNP office during recent mass uprising.

The arrestee was Samiur Rahman Kampan, an organizing secretary of Manikganj district unit BCL.
Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station SM Amanulla acknowledged the matter and said acting on tip-off police conducted a raid in Pirganj of Rangpur on Wednesday. Sensing the presence of the law enforcers, Samiur fell from a roof top of the building while he was trying to flee from the spot and got injuries. 

Samiur was admitted to the Rangpur Sadar Hospital for treatment. He will be brought back to Manikganj after his treatment is completed. 

Earlier, on September 25, Md Murad Hossain, a convener of municipality unit of Swechasebak Dal in Manikganj, filed a case with the Sadar Police Station against 91 named and 150 unnamd people for setting fire on BNP office during the uprising.
