Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed Salah Uddin as Senior Assistant Coach of the national cricket team, with his term extending until March 15, 2025.
This role provides Salah Uddin ample opportunity to demonstrate his capabilities at the highest level.
Salah Uddin, a familiar face in the national coaching setup, previously served as Assistant and Fielding Coach from 2006 to 2010. His extensive coaching career spans over two decades, including roles at the BCB National Cricket Academy and a successful tenure as Head Coach of Singapore, where he led the team in the 2014 ICC World Cricket League Division 4. An ACC-Cricket Australia Level 3 accredited coach, he has achieved significant success domestically, coaching teams to victories in both the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 and the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League.
BCB President Faruque Ahmed, who recently took office amidst a political shift, expressed optimism over the appointment. "Salah Uddin's experience and expertise make him an ideal fit. I promised to open doors for local talent, and his appointment reflects that commitment," Faruque Ahmed said.
This move marks a strategic shift by the BCB towards empowering Bangladeshi coaching talent, with Salah Uddin’s seasoned experience set to enhance the national team’s performance.
