The Malaysian government has started recruiting Bangladeshi migrants in plantation sector again. The hiring process would be continued and last day of entering the workers to the country till January 31 next year, according to a notice issued by the Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry.
Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry's Deputy Secretary Gazi Md. Shahed Anwar signed the notice sent to the international recruiters.
According to the notice, the Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET) will issue the last clearance and release order on January 15, so that the intending migrants can travel the country smoothly.
The notice stated that highest migration cost for the plantation sector workers would be Tk 78,990. No one of the agencies or their agents would be allowed to receive additional fees or charges from the migrants.
The intending migrants have been asked to deal through the banks to pay the migration charges.
However, the medical tests for the selected intending migrants can be done in anyone of the approved medical centres of the ministry.
According to the ministry, the Bangladesh High Commission to Kuala Lumpur will complete attestation of the demand letters for plantation workers within December 31.
