Woman crushed under train in Natore

NATORE, Nov 4: A housewife was crushed under a train in Lalpur Upazila of the district on Sunday.

The accident took place in Narayonpur Rail Gate area near Ajimnagar Railway Station of the upazila in the morning.
The deceased was identified as Rashida Begum, 55, wife of Mohsin Ali, a resident of Jotdoiboki Village under the upazila.

Ajimnagar Railway Station Master Abu Raihan said that the Sagardari Express train from Rajshahi hit the woman in the morning while she was crossing the Narayonpur Rail Gate, which left her dead on the spot.

Being informed, Railway Police visited the scene and recovered the body.  

Officer-in-Charge of Ishwardi Railway Police Station Mokhtar Hossain confirmed the incident, adding that a case was filed in this connection.
