Bangladesh Development Bank gets new Chairman

Veteran Banker Ahmed Ismet has joined Bangladesh Development Bank PLC as chairman on Sunday, says a press release.
 
The Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance recently appointed him as chairman of the Bank.
 
Prior to joining BDBPLC, Ismet was Advisor to the Board of Wall Street Exchange, Dubai (UAE). 

He has previously served as Managing Director (Current Charge) and head of consumer banking at the Eastern Bank PLC.
 
He joined Central Bank of UAE as senior research officer and also worked at Banking Supervision Department & Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU).
 
Ahmed Ismet obtained his B.A. (Honours) and Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Dhaka.
