The Rotary Club of Baridhara, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Jodhpur Bluecity, India, and the Rotary Club of Dhaka, inaugurated a significant healthcare initiative on Saturday at the Bangladesh Shishu Hospital and Institute. The event marked the successful handover of essential medical equipment and the completion of extensive renovations in Renal Ward - 12.

Among the donated items were a portable echo machine, a Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) machine, a multiparameter patient monitor, and a specialised procedure bed. These advanced devices are set to enhance the hospital's capacity to deliver high-quality medical care to paediatric patients, particularly those requiring renal treatment.
The renovation of Renal Ward - 12 has transformed the space into a modern, comfortable environment, significantly improving conditions for both patients and medical staff. The upgraded facilities are designed to promote efficient and compassionate care, fostering a more conducive setting for patient recovery.

"This collaborative effort exemplifies the power of Rotary International to bring about positive change in communities around the world," said Saiful Huq, Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Baridhara. He expressed gratitude to their international partners for their unwavering support in enhancing healthcare access for children in Bangladesh.

The President of the Rotary Club of Dhaka, who also leads the Mituli Foundation, reaffirmed their commitment to building partnerships aimed at making a lasting impact on healthcare infrastructure at the hospital. This initiative reflects a shared vision for improving healthcare services for vulnerable populations.

The inauguration ceremony drew distinguished guests, including representatives from the participating Rotary Clubs, the Mituli Foundation, and the hospital administration. The event featured speeches, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a tour of the newly renovated ward and its donated equipment.

This joint initiative underscores both international and local collaboration in driving sustainable development and humanitarian efforts. Through their combined efforts, the Rotary Clubs have made substantial contributions to improving healthcare quality for children in Bangladesh, demonstrating the transformative power of community engagement in the healthcare sector.
