BAGHA, RAJSHAHI, Nov 3: Ambia Bewa, mother of Abul Kalam Mohammad Azad, Raishahi correspondent of Prothom Alo, passed away in Bagha Upazila of the district on Wednesday night. She was 70. 

She breathed her last at 8:30pm while undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital. She was suffering from liver jaundice.

On Thursday, her Namaz-e-Janaza was held at 10am on Nawtika High School ground in Nawtika Village at Bazubagha Union in the upazila. Later on, she was laid down in a social graveyard.

She left behind her wife, four sons and four daughters.
