5 held with a large cache of drugs in Dinajpur

Five alleged drug peddlers, including a woman, were arrested along with a huge consignment of drugs at Fulbari upazila in Dinajpur district on Sunday.

The arrested are Minati Mardi, 52, from Pukurimor area of Kajihal union, Mukul Murmu, 27, from Lalpara village under Aladipur union, Foysal Hossain, 46, from Balibhadra village, Akalu Roy, from Rangamati Baliharpur village, Yunus Ali, 25, from South Bheram village in the upazila.
According to police sources, after being tipped-off, a team of police, led by sub-inspectors Azad and Farid, raided in Pukurimor area in the early hours of Sunday and arrested the five along with a total of 110 liters Cholai liquor, three bottles of foreign liquor, and a some amount of hemp. 

Confirming the matter, Fulbari Police Station officer-in-charge Khandaker Mahibbul Islam said the arrested were sent to jail after filling a case under Narcotics Control Act.
