2 children drown in Sherpur

Two children drowned in a pond in Sherpur's Sadar upazila on Saturday evening.

The deceased were Mahin Mia, 6, son of Sultan Mia, and Junayed Hossain, 5, son of Manowar Hossain, residents of Andharia Nijpara area.
According to locals, children Mahin and Junayed went out from home to play in the afternoon but did not return home. Later, after evening, locals recovered their bodies from the pond next to their house. 

Sherpur Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jobaidul Islam confirmed it.
