Bangladesh Sochibalaoy Karmokarta-Karmachari Sangjukta Parishad, a platform of Class-Ill and IV employees, demanded reinstatement of the jobs of the officers and employees, who were dismissed, suspended, or sent on forced retirement by the previous government.
The leaders of the parishad also demanded new pay scale for the government employees.
A delegation of the organization led by its Chief Adviser Md Toyaha, President Badiul Kabir and acting Secretary General Nizam Uddin recently placed the demands to the Cabinet Secretary while meeting him at his Secretariat office.
According to Badiul Kabir the Cabinet Secretary has forwarded their demands to Public Administration Ministry and Finance Ministry considering the issues sincerely and taking necessary steps.
Among the demands of the parishad, protection of the non-care posts for the feeder post employees, changing the post names, formation of new pay commission, announcement of 50 dearness allowances, ensuring 100 pension and 400 per cent gratuity facilities, reducing the grades at 10 from existing 20 grades, changing the name of Secretariat Central library and ensuring proper payment for the forced retired employees.
They have also demanded inclusion of parishad representatives in the new pay commission.
According to a press release, the Cabinet Secretary has assured them to include representative of the parishad in the new pay commission.
