Anti-Fascism Students, Workers and People's organiser Bin Yamin Molla has threatened to stay on the streets until the ban of Jatiya Party and arrest of its leaders and workers.
He uttered the threats while speaking at a mass rally at the TSC of Dhaka University early Saturday (November 2) afternoon.
Bin Yamin Molla said the Anti-Fascism Students, Workers and People postponed its Saturday's programme. If Jatiya Party tries to hold rally or meeting in future, it will be resisted unitedly, he said.
Demanding the banning of Jatiya Party, he said, "All leaders and workers of the Jatiya Party must be arrested as quickly as possible. All the offices of the party will have to be turned into July Memorial Museums. We will remain on the streets until these demands are met," he said.
On Thursday (October 31), a group of people under the banner of Anti-Fascism Students, Workers and People went to the Jatiya Party's central office at Bijoynagar with procession. Then they hurled brickbats at the office. Afterward, chase and counter-chase took place between the JaPa workers and the Anti-Fascism Students, Workers and People. Then the Jatiya Party office was set on fire. However, both sides claimed that they tried to resist being attacked first.
