Bangladesh U19 team claimed an emphatic series win over the UAE, taking the five-match ODI series 3-0 after rain washed out the first two games.
The young Tigers demonstrated dominance across the matches, with an 8-wicket win in the third ODI, a massive 183-run triumph in the fourth, and a comfortable 9-wicket victory in the final match held at Dhaka's Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
In the fifth ODI, UAE chose to bat but struggled to build a substantial score, collapsing to 137 all out in 40.3 overs. Uddish Suri (29) and Yayin Kiran Rai (23) were the only UAE batsmen to reach double figures. Bangladesh’s bowlers shone, with Debasish Sarker leading the attack, taking four wickets, while Al Fahad, Sad Islam Rajin, Samiun Basir Tarul, Farhan Shahriar, and Rizan Hossain claimed a wicket each.
Bangladesh chased down the target in 20.4 overs, losing just one wicket. Zawad Abrar’s quick 41 off 46 balls set the pace, and after his dismissal, captain Kalam Siddiki Aleen (41*) and Shahrial Azmir Turjo (39*) comfortably carried the team to victory, securing a clean sweep.
This series win highlights Bangladesh U19’s growing strength, showcasing both batting and bowling potential in their youth cricket setup, and adding momentum to their future campaigns.
