The government on Thursday appointed five new members in the Public Service Commission (PSC) for next five years.
The Public Administra-tion Ministry issued separate notifications in this regard.
The new members are ASM Golam Hafiz, Jahirul Islam Bhuiyan, Dr Chowhdury Saima Ferdous, Dr M Sohel Rahman, and retired Brig Gen Dr Md Jamaluddin.
However, the detail information about the five new members were not given in the notification.
According to the notifications, their appointments will remain effective for five years or until they turn 65 years.
Earlier on October 9, the government appointed Dr Mobashher Momen as the new chairman of the PSC, only a day after resignation of its chairman Sohrab Hossain and other members.
On the same day, the Public Administration Ministry also issued four other gazette notifications appointing four new members of the commission - Dr Nurul Kadir, Dr Md Aminul Islam, Dr Md Nazmul Amin and Md Sujayet Ullah.
