Man dies from snakebite in Madaripur

A man died after a poisonous snake bit him at Jaigir village at Kalkini upazila in Madaripur district on Friday.

The deceased was identified as Farhad Sikder, 38, a resident of the area.

Local people said that the snake bit Farhad on Thursday afternoon while he was working at his house. He was brought to Kalkini Upazila Health Complex and referred to Dhaka Medical College Hospital later where he succumbed to his injuries of Friday morning.

 Humayun Kabir, officer-in-charge of Kalkini Police Station, confirmed.
