Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted that light rain may occur at one or two places in Rangpur, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions in the next 24 hours from 9 am Thursday.
"Light rain is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions during the period," it said.
The weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country while day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 34.5 degrees Celsius at Khepupara and minimum temperature today was 21.2 degrees Celsius at Tetulia.
The sun sets at 05.19pm Thursday and rises at 06.05 am Friday in the capital.
