Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain said on Wednesday that as a former prime minister, Khaleda Zia, and her team, will receive government assistance regarding visa to travel to the United Kingdom (UK) for treatment.

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is likely travel to the UK on November 7 for advanced treatment.

In response to questions about arrangements being made by the Foreign Ministry and whether her status as a former prime minister will be ensured during the visit, the adviser said, "I believe there will not be any issues once she is there. Party leaders say Khaleda Zia will be taken abroad for better treatment based on the decision of her medical board. Her treatment process will commence in London, and her family and team have been in contact with several hospitals there.
