Students from seven colleges affiliated with Dhaka University have once again occupied the capital's Science Laboratory intersection, demanding the formation of an independent university.

The students held a march at Dhaka College before leading the procession to the Science Laboratory intersection, where they took up positions at 11am on Wednesday.
The road blockade disrupted traffic in the area.
The protesters say they will only call off the movement once the government accepts their demand to establish an independent university for the seven colleges.

They say they don't want to inconvenience people but the government has forced them to take to the streets because they have not met their 'reasonable' demands or formed a university reform commission.
