PIROJPUR, Oct 29: The bazer monitoring special taskforce led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-General) Md Selim Hossain conducted a mobile court in kitchen markets in the district town, fining four traders on Sunday noon.
The traders were fined for not showing price list of products and price hiking.
ADC Md Selim Hossain said, "We are conducting mobile court on two specific items including egg and potato mostly."
The mobile court fined Tk 1,000 to Salam Kazi, Md Nazrul Islam, Md Sadik each, and Tk 500 to Jalis Khan.
Additional Police Superintendent Md Mukit Hasan Khan, Executive Magistrate Fahmida Akter, District Marketing Officer Abdul Mannan Hawlader, Assistant Director of the National Consumers Rights Protection Directorate Debashis Roy, Assistant General Secretary of District Consumers Association of Bangladesh (CAB) Md Shafiqul Azam, Representative of District Food Controller and student representatives were present during the operation.
