The joint forces in a drive arrested two drug peddlers from Batiaghata upazila in Khulna district on Saturday night.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of joint forces conducted a drive on Saturday night in Baintala Bazar area in the upazila and arrested the drug peddlers.
The arrested men are Md Sahed Hossain, 30, and his associate Fuzzat Ali, 32,.
Lieutenant Mahbub Hossain, officer of West Zone Coast Guard, disclosed the matter in a press briefing held at the Khulna BCG headquarter in the city on Sunday.
The joint forces also recovered uniforms of army and police along with fake identity cards, 508 pieces of contraband yaba tablets, one kg hemp, 15 pieces of ban syrup, mobile phones and a huge lethal weapon from their possession, he said.
