NARSINGDI, Sept 26: Six people were killed as a speeding truck rammed a CNG-run autorickshaw at Shibpur upazila in Narsingdi district in early Saturday afternoon.
The accident happened at Poncharbari area on the Monhordi-Shibpur-Itakhola regional road.
,Shibpur Model Police Station OC Md Afzal Hossain said six people including the auto driver were killed on the spot.
The autorickshaw also got twisted on impact with the truck coming from the opposite direction. The identities and other details of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Police and locals said a CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided with a truck, leaving the auto-rickshaw driver and its five passengers dead on the spot.
On information, Fire Brigade members rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies, OC Afzal said.
