Ex-panel mayor of M’singh held in Dhaka

Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested former panel mayor of Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC) Asif Hossain Dawn at Uttara in Dhaka early Saturday in a case filed on charges of killing Ridwan during the recent uprising.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mymensingh district DB police Md Shahidul Islam said that a team of the detectives conducted a raid at a house in Uttara around 3AM and detained him.

Asif, elder brother of former mayor of Mymensingh City Corporation Ekramul Haque Titu, was accused of a case filed over Ridwan murder during the anti-discrimination student movement in Mymensingh.
