Another JL leader held over Emdadul murder during movement

Another Jubo League (JL) leader was arrested last night on charges of firing gunshots at the student-people movement from the city's Badda area, killing one Emdadul.

The arrested was identified as Md Mizan, organizing secretary of wardno 37 of Badda Thana Jubo League, reports BSS.

Deputy Commissioner of the Detective Branch (DB) of Police Mohammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the arrest.
Mizan was arrested from Purba Badda Yusuf School area around 11pm on Friday as his involvement was found in the attack on the peaceful anti-discrimination student movement with firearms in front of AMZ Hospital at Uttar Badda on July 20 last, police said.

Emadadul suffered critical bullet wounds in the attack and died on the spot. His cousin Saiful Islam filed a murder case with Badda Police Station to this end.

Mizan was sent to the court with a remand prayer.

Earlier, police arrested several Awami League, Juba League and Shramik League leaders in connection with the case.
