Maj Gen Sarwar joins as Tea Board chair

Major General Sheikh Md Sarwar Hossain joined as the new Chairman of the Bangladesh Tea Board on Thursday.

After assuming office, he paid a courtesy call on Mohang Salim Uddin, Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, at the Bangladesh Secretariat.

The Chairman of the Tea Board discussed the development plan of the board with the Commerce Secretary, who assured him of full cooperation in his work.

Major General Sheikh Md Sarwar Hossain was born on January 10, 1972. He was commissioned into the Infantry Corps with the 25th Long Term Course from the Bangladesh Military Academy on December 20, 1991. Throughout his long professional career, he has held various important positions in command, staff, and instruction.
