2 killed in Sherpur road crash

Two young men were killed in a collision between two motorcycle in Sherpur's Sreebordi upazila.

The accident happened around 7:30 pm on Tuesday in crematorium area on the Daherpar road from Sreebordi Municipality.
The dead were Sabuj Mia, 22, a resident of Char Shimulchhara village, and Zakirul Islam Joy, 26, of Munshipara village.

Locals said two speeding motorcycles collided head-on on Tuesday night in that area. Sabuj Mia died on the spot. The other motorcycle rider Zakirul Islam Joy was first sent to Sherpur District Sadar Hospital in a critical condition and later to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died on Wednesday (October 23) morning while undergoing treatment.

Sreebordi Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Abdul Latif Mia confirmed it.
